Reversible Hawaiian Lanai Banner

Materials Needed

• 7/8 yd. all over Hawaiian print #1
• 7/8 yd. all over Hawaiian print #2
• Thread to match
• 1/2 - 1" wooden dowel
• 2 cup hooks
• String or nylon line

1. Use 5/8" seams unless otherwise noted.
2. Trim off selvage edges and square both fabric pieces if needed.
3. Place fabric right sides together, pin long sides (approx. 44") and bottom (approx 31")
4. Measure 4" from top and stitch from that point on each side.
5. Stitch across bottom.
6. Topstitch or finish 4" top edges by folding 5/8" seams separately.
7. Stitch across top.
8. Trim bottom corners. Turn and press.
9. Measure down from top edge 3-4" (depending on the size of dowel) and topstitch across to create sleeve.
10. Insert dowel in sleeve and suspend from cup hooks using string or fishing line.
